4 days ago it was in the low 30's, creating this icy pond. Today it's going to be over 70 degrees. Talk about about sudden mood swings.

i adore a freezing saturday morning in january

I admitted to myself a long time ago the Walker loved his daddy more than his mommy; but we have a special thing going on Walker and I; he's my picture expedition buddy and Saturday mornings in the middle of winter are freaking awesome for us.

When it's really cold out, I mean makes your eyes water so bad you can't see cold, there isn't a golfer around for miles and we've got nothing but critters to slow us down.

All of the undergrowth and brush is dead and opens up the woods, making it perfect for exploring. Sometimes I let him think he's leading the way, sometimes we stumble along together, leaves crunching, and squirells scrambling in our wake. And sometimes, sometimes we find an awesome stick that's just too damn perfect to leave alone.

And let me tell you, when he finds that perfect stick you better get out of his way because those things HURT if you happen to be in the way... me trying to get out of the way while taking a picture of Walker speeding by with that precious stick.

Of the 18 holes we have to roam,we've only manged to cover 4 so far. We've got a lot of ground to cover yet.
