Dawn was probably close enough when she said it was a flag. I walked past this sign on my way to the lake; I'd never been that close to a construction sign before, only ever driven by them. I immediately noticed the snakeskin-like pattern and thought it was very cool.

Last and final picture from the lastest Sherando Lake series. This rock, I noticed sitting on a picnic table as we were leaving. I imagine a child sat there playing with little bits of nature and left that rock there just for me to enjoy.

Every once in a while we have a Sunday just for Walker, for which we've dubbed "doggie day trip day". An outing for him to visit a different place and get to run and explore. This time we went to Sherando Lake. With winds 30+mph, it probably wasn't the best of days to be outside exploring but Walker loved every second and didn't notice that mommy and daddy were trying not to get blown away.

I love Sherando Lake. It's beautiful and I always see it differently every time we visit. I'm very surprised I got any pictures that turned out at all. Hair in my face, eyes watering, horrible sun glare, I couldn't stand still to save my life. I love a challenge. stay tuned...

up until now, he's refused to stick his head out the window while riding in a car. The other day he finally got what all of the other puppies knew; this is fun!

I told when him that when your tongue hangs and your ears are flapping, your really riding with the BIG dogs...in this pic, he's fascinated but the smell of horses in the field.
