day three and 8 week birthday
Maya, Maya, Maya. We are totally smitten and lovn two aussies in the house.
Maya loves Walkers toys and bones and Walker loves Maya toys and bones. Watching Maya is like watching a mini version of Walker, it's spooky. And oh boy, Maya is lightening fast, already a jumper, has already tormented her first bug and she is the chewer that Walker never was. Good thing the house is already puppy proof.

say hello to our newest addition to the family
8 week old Aussie Miya. Miya arrived at her new home at 12:30am and she was ready to party.
Miya is every bit an Aussie and has no problem letting everyone know it.

Our first night was pretty uneventful except for a couple tiny spats of short lived crying and one very awesome spat of Aussie howling to let everyone know it was time to wake up.

Sunday morning visitor
Drinking my coffee in the kitchen this morning, movement in the window caught my eye. Snake movement. I stared in disbelief. A snake trying to get into the window. I stared in disbelief.

Thankfully Steve was home and gingerly transported him across the road; if Steve hadn't been home I would have been a house captive. A snake in the yard is one thing; a snake on the other side of the wall is another thing all together. I don't care if it was just a black snake. It was a snake. I repeat. A SNAKE.
