Jacks on the James Field Trails

We were the only none Jack Russell family there but it didn't matter at all. I have to say, Jack Russell dog folks are full of humor and just all around great, we had a great time, more picture on Flickr

Walker's first swim
Up to this point Walker has been very afraid of water, to the point that he would try to keep Maya and us away from the water with his body. This lil swim is a very big deal for him.

23 Mph
We went to the Jacks on James event this weekend. FUN! They let us clock Maya even though she wasn't a Jack Russell. The first time she was clocked at 23.6 mph. Her best was 25.4 mph!

Six Months
In reality, it’s a drop in the bucket but it’s felt the longest six months of my life. It's been exactly six months since the accident. It literally changed every single aspect of my life.
Steve asked me recently if I thought about the accident much. Honestly, not a day goes by when I don’t think about it. Every time I get into the passenger seat. Every time I stand up and my foot objects in pain. Every time I come to “the curve” where it happened. Every time I see a jogger going down the street. Every time I feel that twinge in the neck. Every time I see a Ford Escape going by.
I’ve learned to appreciate the kindness of your family and friends on a whole level. Having to ask someone else for everything you’d like to do adds a whole new spin to the word humble. And whatever you do, stay in the good graces of the DMV.But I’ve realized that in the grand scheme of things…it’s ALL small stuff…get over it, move on, start fresh and appreciate every breath you can take and every new sunrise.
